Communications Trustee:  Pete Doyle, M.A., LPC, LCPC
I've been involved with ACAM-KC since about 1999, when a few counselors got together with former president Diana Robertson to work at reinvigorating ACAM-KC. Our viewpoint was then and is now that in these very difficult times for counselors, we need to somehow collaborate and support each other, for the sake of the profession and consequently for the benefit of each of us. For a few years thereafter I edited newsletters for ACAM, ACAM-KC, and the Missouri Mental Health Counselors. The ACAM-KC newsletter subsequently morphed into a listserv of about 165 KC area counselors, and remains active to the present. I've recently taken a turn as president of ACAM, the statewide counseling association. My day job is at night, doing crisis mental health evaluations in the ER of Truman Medical Center.
